This is an open letter to our Western civilisation.
Dear world, I primarily wanted to address the younger demographic of America. As you age and become older, you become wiser. You are being told that this election marks a bifurcation point in history, that to vote for the other side will be the end of humanity. Or so we are told.
In reality, that is not going to happen. Life goes on.
In most modern and Western democratic countries, politics generally swings from one side to the other through time, a bit like a pendulum. First it goes to one side, then the the other. No side ever seems to hold more than two or three consecutive election cycles.
We each vote for and society elects one of the political parties that we think, overall, best represent us as a nation state. However there are more than one or two separate issues in the world to think about today. There are multiple. ‘Left’ or right’ doesn’t really accurately describe most people’s political persuasions anymore. Only having one or two main parties (“progressive” or “conservative”) to choose from is a bit of an outmoded concept. One person may be an environmentalist, but also having something to say about migration. Who does he vote for? The green party? The nationalist party? Or a central party? The voter is conflicted.
Even so, politics has polarised to a great degree in the last decade here the West. It has become a bimodal frequency distribution, where sometimes it seems that everyone around you is either on one side or the other. What should be happening in the modern world is that we should be holding more frequent referendums on individual issues, so the majority is truly represented for each individual decision. That way, the bulk of the people can vote on the things that they care most about.
Even so, I don’t think the swinging pendulum model is accurate depiction of how things are anymore in the world of politics. I think a better analogy of where politics in the West today is something akin to that of a spinning top. A precarious wobbling and balancing act, wandering all over the place through space and time. It leans this way on certain issues, sometimes too much, then has to lean back the other way as it overcompensates itself.
Much like people are doing now. Everyone seems to be getting fed up with too much wokeism, and they are rightly pushing back on that. Why should it be only young naïve radical leftists in charge of molding society, dragging it in an increasingly degenerate direction? If everyone was a vegan hippie cyclist, if there were no police, no government, no military, how would everything function normally? How would we be able to protect ourselves?
I think if we were all able to realise that it’s not as simple as “left” or “right”, America and England would be a more peaceful and harmonious place right now. The forces that act on our society would be distributed more evenly, instead of in only two completely opposite directions. If republicans talked about environmental problems a bit more. If leftists stopped worrying about social issues and got back to their core principles of protecting the environment. Will they? Probably not. They’re in full groupthink mode now.
When I was a teenager and my father started talking about politics, I didn’t like it because I didn’t really understand it. I thought it wasn’t relevant to my daily life. That’s for older people I thought. Besides, I secretly used to wish for communism when I was young and stupid. I was upset about inheriting a world full of economic inequality. I look back on my former self, and boy was I one very naïve individual.
See the thing is, capitalism is a bit like a lottery, and people like the incentive of perhaps one day winning the main prize and hopefully “being and becoming successful”. Whatever that means. On the other hand, there is little incentive to work in any truly communist state, apart from perhaps punishment for not working. In practice, communist regimes soon become authoritarian dictatorships. Corruption at the top is rife.
I think one main part is that I hadn’t really found my place in the world yet. I didn’t yet have a stable job, I was studying at university, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, who I was going to work for. The truth is, I still haven’t. But when I was a youngster I suppose I had a cultural identity crisis.
I thought I “knew” about history because I’d studied a few subjects of history at highschool in years eight and nine. But the history of this world is very detailed, complex and nuanced; I am still learning plenty of new things every few days about human history, even at 47 years of age.
So I wasn’t really interested in politics or history either for that matter. I guess I was a too much of a perfectionist, and I wanted the world to be more like John Lennon’s song “Imagine”. With “no religion” and thus “nothing to kill or die for”.
But in reality however, that sort of globalist movement is impossible. We should not impose our way on other civilisations any more than they should impose their way on ours. Cultures are different, they have different values and priorities and it’s precisely those difference that I appreciate more now, especially after traveling around the world a few times. Culture is not all about food and music. It’s about values.
Throughout the ages, civilisations rise and then they inevitably fall. Wars are fought, borders move, and land changes hands. The civilisations that still exist today have been pulsating in size for eons.
We now find ourselves at a very precarious point in time in our recent history.
Every so often it happens. Decades of relative calm, peace and stability, and then –whump!– a lot of political turmoil place on our doorstep, the threat of a new Cold War. Or a real one.
The threat of Russia, China and Iran, which by the way is literally only weeks away from having nuclear weapons breakout capability (well at least the nuclear part, the weapons delivery may take another year or two tops, apparently).
There are various threats to our current modern civilisation, to all civilisations, not just ours. Russia too for example now sees us, the West, once again as a threat to its sovereignty. We see China as a growing threat, a change in the global power balance. And so on. Times are changing.
Each side likes to highlight, discuss and debate the most important or let’s say the most significant threats that they think we here in the Western world are all facing. We should be afraid of this, fearful of that. The underlying emotion is fear, not logic.
One of those threats for example is antibiotic resistance. And not enough people are talking about that. They should be, because our medicines are becoming less effective over time, as bacteria evolve and become more resistant.
Another threat is soil degradation. In many agricultural lands the soil is becoming more saline (which is bad). And you can openly and freely read about all that and I encourage you to. Another threat is pesticide resistance. And the same goes there. There’s the threat of overfishing, say. So long term food security is a threat, yes. The rise in housing cost. Economic inequality. The threat of nuclear war. And we can talk openly about and freely about all those threats. No problem!!
There’s also a long term existential threat acting between different civilisations.
I now firmly believe that one of the great long term threats to the stability of the West is not Russia, but Islam. Call it what you want, fundamentalist islam, political islam, radical islam, whatever. It doesn’t matter. But islam is spreading. It tends to have a destabilisating effect on most of those that states that it enters, especially if there are land borders with non-muslims states.
And now as if that weren’t bad enough, it seems we’re also facing several other threats on top of all those other ones. Put simply, the threat of #censorship. The threat of censorship of people even just talking about the threat of islam.
Now sure, government anti-terror organisations are analysing the threat of extremist islam in the background. Secretly. Because they are smart enough to know its there. And we praise those operatives for preventing terorrism.
Every single day, people die in various islamic attacks all around the world. At the moment, most of them are happening in the middle Africa. Some of them are jihad attacks. Stabbings. Bombings. Beheadings. Shootings. Some of them are insurgencies. Clashes with other government forces. Some of them are fights over land resources due to population expansion.
Yet it was people like Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton, all those years ago, very confidently told us: “Terrorism has nothing to do with islam”. Wrong! That is actually a blatant lie. It has plenty to do with islam, and if people bothered to look, they would find it. Look here at how many Islamic Terror groups are currently in existence around the globe (if you dare).
And now it seems the legacy news media doesn’t want you to know about all of this conflict, only some of it. No single media source informs you about all of them. The best place to find out about all this conflict is probably here.
I encourage you to then go and google the locations and places of these latest attacks. So you can learn about how islam operates. Where it happened and when. Because we are told facts are good right? Misinformation is bad, but facts are good. So then, get armed with facts.
As an aside, talking about facts, one good book I can recommend, short of doing a science degree, and I especially recommend it to tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy nutter type people, is entitled “Demon Haunted World”, by none other than Carl Sagan himself. It’s a good book. Please add it to your reading lists. Hopefully after reading it you may better be able to determine fact from fiction, information from misinformation/disinformation. You will then be armed with what is called a “Baloney detection kit”.
So another scandal that is brewing is that we are not even being told about all the islamic terror attacks and conflict happening in Africa. We are not even being adequately informed. Sometimes I think the opposite is true. Where news is intentionally hiding certain things from us, telling us anything but the news. Like gender identity rubbish. Or anything really.
Take this example. On the 3rd of August 2024, Al-Shabaab set off a bomb in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, killing 37 people and injuring 212. The BBC didn’t report on it. The next day, on the 4th, in Sudan, there was a seige where 23 people died and 60 were injured. Yet on that same day, the BBC would seemingly rather inform its readers about a cat with a jar stuck on its head:
Police called to save cat with jar stuck on head https://t.co/WYElbSOHol
— BBC News (World) (@BBCWorld) August 4, 2024
Much of this conflict is caused by the northern Islamic part pressing further Southwards. Some of it might by competition for food resources. It’s not all jihad. I don’t know, I’m not a military expert. But something is going on, because approximately every other day, 10+ people die somewhere in the Sahel region. Why? The news just doesn’t want to talk about it. They don’t think its relevant. Or something. I guess they think it “might make muslims look bad”. Worse than they do already.
From 2020 to 2023, right across the middle part of Africa, an entire band of countries has had successful coups d’État. These were caused by their own governments failures to deal with rising islamic insurgencies. Do people even know that?
A good book where you can learn quite a lot about history is “Clash of Civilisations”. I encourage everyone to read that book. I’m in the process of reading it now. And another book you can read, if you are so inclined, is called “Future Shock”, by Alvin Toffler, which goes some way to explaining the stress we all now face in the modern world, and how it can impinge negatively on our mental health. At the very least it may explain some people’s behavior.
People today would be wise to learn more about history, and the history of other civilisations, for history often repeats itself. Nazis are bad, they started World War 2, and we have to avoid that at all costs because lot of people died. Yet leftists often seem to assume that someone who identifies as “nationalist” is automatically a fascist or a Nazi. It’s a type of black-and-white all-or-nothing thinking. My psychologist would label it “catastrophising”
The key players openly and rightly talking about the threat of islam in public however, are being hounded. They’ve been hounded for a long time. They’ve been hounded for a long time and it’s got to stop.
Because the left has now introduced relatively new types of threats. Threats aimed at silencing people. Firstly, the threat of insults. The threat of labels. Even the threat of walking out of the room. The threat of not listening, the adult equivalent of child throwing a temper tantrum or a schoolkid sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting “LA LA LA!”. The threat of throwing milkshakes on people. Sometimes it seems that leftists only have a vocabulary pool of about 10 words. I think they have lost the ability and skill to debate.
When that didn’t work, they started fighting dirty, hitting below the belt. Because leftists like the idea of control. They introduced the threat of cancelling people. Snubbing people. The threat of deplatforming people. The threat of lawfare. The threat of debanking. The threat of bankruptcy, of homelessness. The threat of boycotting not just people, but entire corporations, if the left feels so inclined. Even the threat of throwing people into prison, which in Tommy’s case, is almost equivalent to a death sentence. And now they have turned on Elon Musk.
The more this happens, the more people realise it and wake up to it, all these sneaky unfair manoeuvres, the more everyone starts to push back against its blatant scare tactics to try to impose some sort of control on other people’s thoughts and words, the more the left hemorrhages members. Like the scene at the end of Terminator 2, with T-1000 lashing out as it falls down into vat of molten hot metal, lashing out at everyone and everything in it’s clear downward trajectory.
The irony now is that both sides are calling the other fascists! Only one seems to be acting like true fascists however, and that’s clearly the left. Sure they all look different visually speaking that is, from nose piercings to coloured hair to tattoos on their breasts to what have you. Constantly obsessed with gender identity, but nevertheless they exhibit a type of “groupthink” attitude. As soon as anyone in the group says “I disagree with that”, they find themselves shunned, labeled as a “TERF” or what have you, much as J. K. Rowling has found out.
Edward Bulwer-Lytton once said “The pen is mightier than the sword.”
Well these days, I think the fact is mightier than the insult or the label.
Essentially, all of it is a type of discrimination against people thinking differently, and, ultimately, if you carry on disagreeing, censorship. Of open and public debate. They want people not to talk about it. They want people to shut up. I’m not sure why that is, if they haven’t even listened to the threat that islam poses. It would be like censoring an ecologist for talking about soil degradation. Are we doing that? No. Would a leftist dare censor a scientist for wanting to talk about overfishing? Is that “taboo”? I think it’s because they are in complete denial about the enormity of the problem. And what can we even do about it? Just a few days ago, Richard Dawkins was deplatformed from facebook. He is the preeminent evolutionary biologist of our time. 🤦♂️
Some of it is being applied by the government, as in the case of the United Kingdom, moving in an increasingly authoritarian direction. Continually threatening people “with the full force of the law”, instead of dealing with the root causes of people’s dissatisfaction. A government that wants to take its own people in a direction that they do not want to go can lead to a torn country.
Enough crackdown, and people will automatically begin to censor themselves. The government no longer even has to do anything, other than make the occasional example out of somebody. So a lot of that censorship is self-censorship. Much like Russian people do. People self censor all the time, because they know the repercussions and the consequences of speaking up, speaking out. And they themselves know that. They might reluctantly talk to someone off camera. But on camera it’s a different ball game. They complete shut down. Better to stay silent. Better to stay out of prison.
Russians have a word for this: “молчать”. To keep quiet. And now it’s happening to us. We’re all doing that to ourselves. Do people even realise it? It got to the point where you couldn’t even use the word “muslim” in a sentence, otherwise you might be deemed “racist”. As if they can’t ever be mentioned by name, a taboo topic. Something that cannot be discussed. We the left will not allow it.
What if wikipedia starts censoring information about factual islamic terrorism “because it’s racist”? Well they are already doing it now, still trying to ban Tommy’s most recent documentary (well all of them really). Try putting that reference anywhere on wikipedia. The last time I tried, wikipedia editors said that I had “vandalised” the page, “tampered” with it. No, I merely added a single reference. To the documentary. They don’t want even more people to see.
And on a slightly different topic, but still concerning wikipedia, the page that used to be called “Barbarian Invasions” has now become “The Great Migration Period“. I kid you not. But will they ever be able to alter the Italian version? Eh?
It’s obvious that the demographics of our countries are changing. Some of those cultures are very different to ours, with different values, and different priorities of those values. Islam doesn’t prioritise democracy. Islam doesn’t prioritise free speech. Islam doesn’t prioritise women’s or LGBT equality or individuality.
Islam prioritises submission. Submission to islam. Because that’s what the word islam means, submission. And there only seem to be the same familiar faces talking openly about it. Everyone else is too scared.
The last time around, when Tommy Robinson* went to prison unfairly, the #FreeTommy hashtag was censored on all the other platforms. I could not even post a picture of the bottom corner of my screen showing where I’d changed my Wi-Fi network name to “#FreeTommy“.
We all saw it before, where even a picture of Tommy smiling was censored. Not allowed. Why not?
I don’t like where this is going people. Where does this end?
Many people have watched the Tommy Robinson documentary “Silenced“. Which really does expose some media distortions of the truth, how people can be unfairly smeared, and just how politically biased our judicial system has become.
So now I also want to talk about #TwoTierNews. Biased news. News that doesn’t outright lie exactly, but news that distorts the truth. In Russia, in the time of the recent crackdowns on Navalny in 2021, if you held up a banner you were arrested. So people adapted, and held up banners with nothing written on them.
Before too long, even if you held up a blank A4-sized piece of paper, you were arrested and imprisoned. At the same time, there was a big difference between what the Russian state media reported, and what independent media @tvrain reported.
Russian media reported that the situation was under control, and showed a handful of protestors surrounded by large groups of police. Or that there was barely any turnout. In the middle of Siberia say. The relatively small city of Surgut. Where it didn’t really matter. Which isn’t exactly a lie, but it isn’t the whole truth either. We have to ask ourselves. Do we want to go in an increasingly fascist direction? Where governments and even our own people censor us? Where the media distorts the truth and hides or omits things it doesn’t want people to see? They still haven’t even admitted to the whole #JamalGate scandal, let alone apologised to anyone.
If you want to see what it looks like to live in a world that doesn’t represent reality, I encourage you to watch the video below. Which might at first seem irrelevant. What they didn’t show ordinary Russians was the in St Petersburg. Watch what happens from 4:04 onwards. In fact it was the police that were completely surrounded on all sides by the people. A complete inversion of reality, at least in that city. Yet they didn’t show it to their own public. Is that the sort of world we want to live in? Where the media effectively lie about what’s going on?
Now maybe, Russia is better off under Putin, because they value family and they’re not having any of this woke nonsense that is being pushed on all of us now here in the West. But what’s good for Russia is a discussion for another time. But I think it would be wise not to piss them off any further, because they were our allies defeating nazis during WW2. I don’t think they are the enemy.
I think that the threat of a wider conflict is real, Ukraine is none of our business, anyone who is old enough to know anything about the USSR knows that it was a Soviet state. Why are we meddling in their affairs? Can Americans even afford it, if you now find yourselves 35 trillion dollars in debt?
This morning I woke up, and my twitter account was permanently suspended. My account was in the process of of getting approved for a blue check mark. I guess I must have annoyed someone, like a gnat buzzing around a lion for too long. It could have been anything I said really. But I think I know what it might have been.
I’ve been deplatformed before, but this time it felt different. Because this is Elon’s new “free speech” platform. The very last bastion of free speech on any sort of platform that matters. And yet here I find myself booted out. No explanation.
I instantly had a sick to the stomach feeling, something I can’t quite describe accurately.
What the left proposes now, censoring anything and everything it doesn’t like, is in of itself a form of fascism. Ironically, yes the left have almost turned fascist, everything went full circle, or 180° at least, and you can now clearly see that they very quickly became antisemitic towards Israel in a matter of months.
Different political factions also like to use victimhood to try to sway people, something like this “We are the bigger victims here, you should vote for us”. I think everybody that is being censored and hounded by lawfare all over the place are the true victims here. Trump himself is a victim. Alex Jones was fined $1.5 billion dollars and is on the verge of bankruptcy. He’ll never be able to pay that debt off. And what happens if the left decide that Elon should receive a $1.5 trillion dollar fine? What then? What if google starts cancelling people’s gmail accounts? What will people do when half their android apps stop working? Where exactly does this lead?
If things continue as they are, what is the left going to do in 100 or 200 years’ time, when it is too late to turn things around? What will they do then? Will they themselves resort to genocide? At the rate things are going it would not surprise me… better I think to get a grip on immigration now, and avoid something more catastrophic later on.
Thanks for reading,
The intelligentsia
* Oh and by the way, yes we all know his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, and continually telling us it doesn’t add any new information to your news articles. It doesn’t really matter what a person’s name is. Would it matter if he called himself Mr Bean? It’s his message that they don’t like (because subconsciously they know he is mostly telling the truth). I think the left only do it to try and “name and shame”, to make it harder for him to move around and interact with society on a daily basis.
That way, leftist hotel staff can more easily recognise his real identity! In so doing, the left is sending out the message to its readership: “let’s all go out of way to make this persons day-to-day life extremely difficult, he deserves it, he has dared to criticise islam, let’s go and get him people”. The news today loves to snitch on Tommy and endanger his life, and that’s yet another type of threat. The threat of doxxing, which both the National Scot and Daily Mail newspapers are now guilty.
